Evie and I are on a weeklong vacation. Our primary destination is Glens Falls NY to take in the Crossmen show on Tuesday night. On the way we stopped at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. The town is quaint and picturesque. Main Street is lined with shops associated with baseball…collectables, antique equipment, old photos, etc.
Though we spent a good three and half hours in the Hall of Fame, we could have easily done twice that. Following are some pictures taken.
An interesting observation was made. At the Hall you can find caps and other items from every team but the Blue Jays. Though around town the two NY treams and Boston dominate the market, which is not surprising, you can still find items from other teams, except the Blue Jays.

So should we do a "why do you think there is no Blue jay stuff?" question for everyone to see what responses we would get. I suspect we would get some USA bashing
Joanne, it has nothing to do with the US. It is a Blue Jay issue. They are controlling the marketing of their merchandise so closely that one can only get their items from a handful of places. The primary sourse of Blue Jay items is via the Blue Jay web site. They are shooting themselves in the foot. At one time the Blue Jays were in the top five of shirts and caps being sold in the US. Now you cannot get them in the US, not even at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
I'd love to see the section on the female league. I loved wathcing that movie A League of Their Own. I saw an interview with Tom Hanks and he said it was one of his favorite movies that he did.
Barb, I love that movie too. I am was thrilled when Oakton did that as part of their 2006 show with the guard wearing League of Their Own costumes.
I agree with Barbara with the move A League of Their Own. I have seen it a few times. It would be a wonderful display to see. Maybe I will get there some day!
