Gas Prices Are Coming Down

From the summer highs gas prices have dropped significantly. In 1996 when Clinton was elected to second term gas prices across the nation were running between 1.32 to 1.44. I just returned from a trip to Williamsburg. Today I saw gas ranging from 1.79 to 1.84 in Williamsburg and 1.68 to 1.75 in Fredericksburg. What are you seeing in your area?

We are paying 81 cents per litre - down from 1.46 from the summer. When we were travelling through the Western states this summer, we paid well over $4 a US gallon, still cheaper than what we were paying here in Calgary.

Filled up at 73.9/litre this week. I paid a high of 1.50 in Calgary this past summer

Jenn in Canadian funds the price is 2.999/gallon (US gallon). In American funds, that would be 2.334 American. What Joanne paid is about 12 to 15% higher than what we are paying in northern Virginia.

Are gas prices seriously that cheap again? I'm not driving, obviously, and am rarely off campus to see gas prices, so I don't know.
